visionary agents for change.

Iranian Diaspora Collective (IDC) 501(c)(3) is an organization of visionary agents for social change who understand the power of social influence, storytelling, and youth-led activism as key tools for cultural revolution. We formed in response to the mass protests in Iran and around the world following the murder of Jina “Mahsa” Amini by the Iranian “morality police” in September 2022.

connectivity is a human right: keep iran online

Connectivity is a Human Right: Keep Iran Online is an IDC Initiative under the advisement of Yasmin Green, CEO of Jigsaw at Google. Our goal is to Keep Iran Online and further prevent technology and internet shutdowns in the future.

This initiative builds upon Jigsaw's platform and open-source VPN service, Outline, and scales existing VPN services through Holistic Resilience 501(c)(3). The funds raised provide VPN service and connectivity in Iran, and also support the urgent, applied innovations tech activists are developing in the field to build a sustainable infrastructure for connectivity.

IDC pursues projects that amplify, uplift, and celebrate Iranian culture and the pursuit of secular democracy. Our initiatives have reached hundreds-of-millions of people through out-of-home, digital, broadcast, and brand partnership projects.

We believe change, especially in Iran, will come about because of the resistance by the people of Iran, led by the youth, women and girls, and minoritized ethnic populations. As members of the diaspora, we believe our role is to aid the development of collaborative projects that build trust amongst community members and contribute cultural and social change on a micro level, as well as activists, artists, and thought leaders who are developing plans for macro changes in policy, governance and international law.
